Sarah was a graduate of Peninsula High School and went on to complete a two year vocational program. She worked at several different businesses in Gig Harbor, Washington but most enjoyed volunteering at the YMCA. In 2014, Sarah moved to Casa Grande, Arizona and continued her volunteer work at Valley Humane Society. Sarah was very involved in Special Olympics in both Gig Harbor and Casa Grande and she enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, softball and bowling.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Lee Spunaugle; maternal grandparents Grandmom and Pop-Pop Eshleman; paternal grandmother Grandma Mary Spunaugle; and her aunt Marilyn Hanford.
She is survived by her mother Lane (Greg) Boeh; her sisters Leanna (Shayne) Gray and Emily (Jason) Berken; her brother Levi Spunaugle; and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Sarah wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of her family and friends for influencing and enriching her life over the years, especially during her school aged years.
A memorial service is not being planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made via check to Special Olympics Arizona, with “Casa Grande Tornados” included on the memo line, and mailed to Lane Boeh at 909 N Brown Ave, Casa Grande AZ 85122. A memorial shirt in honor of Sarah will be made for her former teammates.
