Obituary of Rodney Stickney Gaither

Rodney Stickney Gaither, 71, passed away on January 10^th, 2022.  He was born on April 11, 1950 in Washington D.C. to Donald and Emma Gaither. Rod grew up in Lanham, MD. He graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham, MD in 1968. After high school he went into the AirForce where he carved out a career for 22 years. During his tenure, he received 3 merit service awards along with the Fisher Writing Award in 1981.  He then moved to Montana where he worked for Indian Health Service for 20 years as the Infection Control Officer. In 2010 he moved to Arizona and worked for the USDA for 8 years as the Occupational Health and Safety Officer.  He finally retired in 2018!!!  Rod married the love of his life, Amorette Gaither.  They were happily married for 51 years.  Rodney is survived by his spouse Amorette of Maricopa, AZ, his daughter, Sunshine Gaither of MT, his son, John Tesorier of UT, his son, Rodney Gaither II of IA; his brother Donald Gaither Jr. and sister Laletia Gaither of MD; his grandchildren Courtney Skinner of OH (Daimyn), Brittany Randolph of TX (Layla & Luna), Jazper Gaither of MT; Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Emma Gaither and son Sivan Gaither.
