Obituary of John Terrance Michie

John Terrance (Terry) Michie, 80, passed away December 11, 2021. He suffered
from advanced Parkinson’s but recent Covid 19 infection proved fatal. Terry grew
up in Rawlins, Wyoming, the first-born of John and Betty Michie. He graduated
from Rawlins High School and the University of Wyoming during the Viet Nam
conflict. He was an Army ROTC cadet and champion sharpshooter for their rifle
team. After receiving a commission as an officer in the Army, he was deployed to
Viet Nam as a supply officer where he came into regular contact with Agent
Orange. It was this contact that is believed to have resulted in his acquiring
Parkinson’s disease later in life. After his military service, he worked in sales for
many years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Fenrich) Michie,
they have one son, Jonathan (Veronica) Michie and a 2-year-old granddaughter,
Perrie. Terry is also survived by 2 beautiful daughters from a previous marriage.
Celes (Paul) Mason and her children (Cody, Olivia, and Logan) and Jennifer (Joe)
Kowalski and her children (Jarret and Jacob). He is also survived by sister Colleen
(Doug) Hughes, brothers Dennis, Mike, and Bill, his uncle DF Michie and many
cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter,
Gina, and brother, Kevin. Terry will be remembered for his easy-going nature,
courtesy to all, and a wry sense of humor.
