Obituary of Kimberly Michelle Thompson
Today we are celebrating, remembering and honoring Kimberly Thompson. Kim was a woman of strength and courage, whose stubborn streak showed up when she set her mind to something. She was born in Phoenix to Evelyn Cartwright and Henry Thompson in 1965. After high school, she moved to Monterey California and lived there for over 20 years. She cared for the elderly in a senior living facility for several years, until she began her career as a city bus driver. In 2004 she decided to move back to Arizona in order to be closer to her family.
Kim is survived by her beautiful children; Edward, Brianna(husband Shane), Deche (husband Darrell), Gabriela and Christian. Grandchildren Kea’ve, Kaylana, Mekhi, and Kehlani. Mother Evelyn, siblings Shannon (husband John), Kevin and the siblings on her father’s side Richard and Stephanie. Nieces Britney, Gina, as well as other nieces and nephews. She has many extended family members that loved and cared for her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father Henry, Grandmother Helen, Sister Donna (Rainee), niece Genesis and grandson Jace.
Although Kim has passed, the imprint that she left on our hearts will leave long lasting memories. As we say goodbye, a part of her will always remain in our hearts. The things we each loved about her will continue to live on and help us be okay each and every day.
