Annette Lynn Heath

July 29, 1944 – July 26, 2021

Mesa, Arizona / Lincoln Park, Michigan

Annette Heath passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021. She was 76 years old.


Annette is survived by her daughter Beth Gray (Newberg) and son-in-law John Gray of Mesa, Arizona, Sister Rhoda Beth Ritter (Kent), niece Kelly Ritter, nephews Perry Heath, Scott Heath and Dan Ritter, and granddaughter Skylar Gray Masanotti (Dylan).


Annette was born in Detroit, Michigan, graduating from Lincoln Park High School in 1962. She spent many years working in Public Relations at The Henry Ford Museum Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. She headed west to Arizona in the summer of 1977 where she worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Controller of The Arizona Bank. A life-long student, Annette graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Organizational Communication and worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Bank of America until she retired from banking in 1992. Annette was the Executive Assistant to the Director and President of The Phoenix Zoo until her retirement in 2010.


Annette volunteered her time at the Crisis Intervention Center in Taylor, Michigan, Scottsdale Osborn Hospital and served on the Board of Directors of the Tempe Little Theatre for nearly 20 years.


Annette left her mark of love and kindness on countless friends, family members and neighbors. She was devoted to her family and her little rescue dog Mickey. Annette was always there to lend a hand, bring a dish, provide a ride, coordinate an event, sit a pet or run an errand. She loved traveling, the theater, music, crafting and spending time with her friends and family.  She will be remembered as warm and loving, generous and kind.  All who knew her will remember her laughter; unrestrained and joyful.
