Stanley  Salter

Obituary of Stanley Salter

Stanley Salter passed away on March 5th, 2021 at 91 years old. Born in Toronto,

Ontario Canada, he came to the US in 1950 and joined the US Air Force

National Guard and became US Citizen. He lived in Detroit Michigan for a

while and worked at Ford Motor River Rouge. The National Guard was

activated due to the Korean war and he was sent to Luke Air Force Base

where he served. He met his wife Marlene Wild while serving at Luke and

they were married in 1951. They had 3 sons, Stephen Edward Salter,

Richard Allen Salter and Barry Lee Salter. After being honorably

discharged from the service he started a glass company called Century

Glass & Supply, Inc which became the 2nd largest glass company in Arizona

doing both commercial and residential glass. He and his wife have been

married for 70 years and have 8 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.

Grandchildren are Nubia Nieblas, Nidia Flores, Marlayna Salter, Windy

Sears, Jennifer Myers, Shawn Salter, Brandon Salter & Estrella Ruiz. He

was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed by them and his

many friends. Graveside services with Military Honors will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday March

 24th, 2021 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix Arizona 85024
