Obituary of Josephine Burtnyk

Josephine Burtnyk was a beloved and caring wife, mother, grandmother,

great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She passed away peacefully the

morning of February 8, 2021 in Scottsdale AZ.

She was born to Paul and Mary Berbeciuk on December 16, 1921

in Hodgson, Manitoba Canada. While working in Winnipeg, Manitoba

she met Hellar Burtnyk, they were married on October 26, 1946

and moved to Chicago, Illinois.

Jo is survived by children Judy and Don (Mari), two Grandsons

Michael (Erin) and Brian and two great-Granddaughters Elizabeth and Emma.

After moving to Phoenix AZ, Jo worked in the travel industry for

40 years and was fortunate to see and visit many exciting cites

and countries and  experience the thrilling adventures far beyond.

We will all miss her kind, gentle and loving soul. In lieu of flowers,

St Mary’s Food Bank to assist the many people affected by COVID-19.
