Obituary of Mary Loeva Scott

Mary Loeva Scott, 62, of Cave Creek, AZ passed away peacefully on January 15^th, after a long courageous battle with cancer. 

Mary was born on August 29^th, 1958 to Margret (Stotler) Luter and Paul Scott.  Formally from Rockford, Illinois, she graduated from East High School in 1976 and relocated to Cave Creek, AZ in 2015.

Mary is survived by her children, Drew Mattingly, Sean (Caitlyn) Mattingly and Lindsey (Caleb Johnson) Scott.  Her brother Jim (Robin) Scott, Sisters, Val (Ross) Goodman, Kathy (David) Harmon, Barb Zawislak, Jennie (Tom) Seeling, grandchildren, Masyn and Everly and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was predeceased by her daughter Dixie, Father Paul Scott, Step-fathers Lavern Nelson and Rodney Luter, Sister Diane Scott and Brother Jeff Scott and her loving grandparents.

Mary served as secretary of the Lombardi Auxiliary and was a member of the Verdi Club in Rockford, Illinois.  She enjoyed traveling, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.  Her smile was endless and she was the most selfless person to all. 

Celebration of life will held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the below, they will be distributed to the charities of Mary’s choice.
